Irish Property Auctions - The new reality

There is no doubt that auctions are the new reality for Irish property buyers. In the past, auction rooms were considered the domain of seasoned developers and farmers. Home buyers rarely made an appearance and for first time buyers buying through auction was not really an option. This is no longer true of the Irish market, which has changed beyone all recognition over the past five years.

Home buyers in the current market can no longer afford to step back from this challenge. With the increasing multi-lot bank auctions and more motivated sellers in the market place together with difficulties with ascertaining market value, auctions are going to play a much greater role in the passing of property.

Buying a house at auction

The good news for inexperienced buyers is that very few bargains are achieved in the auction room, invariably they are achieved as a direct result of the preparation in advance.

Buyers Broker can assist potential bidders with the steps that must be undertaken and the checks that should be carried out prior to the auction. We also offer attendance and bidding services to buyers who are unable or unprepared to attend the auction themselves.
